Alma Piper Newman , age 86, a native of Barnesville, Ga. passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Pinewood Manor in Hawkinsville, Ga.She was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church, she was a homemaker and loved fishing. A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Newman at Harrell Cemetery on Monday, August 31st, 2020 at 11:00 am with Dr. Jeff Waters officiating.Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leroy Newman and her parents, Elton Piper and Jewel Coogler Piper.
Survivors include her sons; Tommy Newman (Cynthia) of Perry Ga. and Walter Kelly Newman (Lashonda) of Hawkinsville Ga. her daughters; Ann Langston (Steve) of Perry Ga. and Linda Dugan (Gareth) of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., her brothers; Melvin Piper (Margarite) and Buddy Piper both of Eastman Ga. and a sister; Gloria Smith of Eastman Ga., 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grand Children.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
