Alva Robertson, age 74, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died January 23, 2016 at Eagle Health & Rehabilitation in Statesboro, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Ladon Connell and Rev. Ronnie Moore officiating. Visitation will be held immediately prior to the service from 10a.m. to 10:45a.m. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Chauncey, Georgia.
Mr. Robertson was born on April 27, 1941 in Glynn County Georgia. He was a member of the Methodist Faith and an Air Force Veteran. Alva was a retired auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lillian Robertson; son, Mark Robertson; brothers, Herbert Robertson Jr., Edward Robertson, Emory Robertson, Spencer Robertson and Randy Robertson.
He is survived by his wife, Blanch Robertson of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sons, Steve (Tina) Robertson of Columbia, South Carolina, Alan (Michelle) Robertson of Columbia, South Carolina and Cale Lewis of Chester, Ga.; daughters, Teresa (Luke) Shurling of Brooklet, Ga and Melissa (Larry) Hedden of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brother, Charles Robertson of Hawkinsville, Ga.; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
