Alvin R. Goss

October 17, 1940 — September 15, 2024

We lost a special person when Alvin R. Goss went to his heavenly home on September 15, 2024. He was a caregiver to many elderly people. Checking on them, making videos for them and whatever else they may have needed. Alvin loved nature. Many times, he would call and say, “can you hear the birds singing.” He would say, “I saw the most beautiful wild flowers.” His greatest joy was when he and Betty Ann would go off to explore different trails. He loved to go anywhere and backroads were his favorite.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Betty Ann, he loved his Bets and there was no doubt about it. He is also survived by their shared daughter, April Gibson (Tony) and grandchildren, Zach and Carli, who brought so much joy to his life. He was so proud of April; he did not know how she did all that she did and still had time for them. He loved her dearly. He is also survived by his sisters, Jeannette Ford and Marie Driskell (Carlton); brother, Harris Goss (Jane); beloved nieces and nephews who affectionately knew him by Ah Ah.

He was preceded in death by his father, Golden and his mother, Mozelle; sisters, Nadine Fiebig and Virginia Lowery; mother-in-law, Faye Markert and brother-in-law, Charles Markert.
