Mr. Amos Jearl Darsey, age 81, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on January 11, 2015 at his residence. Visitation will be held from 6p.m. to 8p.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Clark Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating.
Mr. Darsey was born in Dodge County and moved to Hawkinsville in 1951. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and attended New Vision Ministries IPHC (Babb Memorial) in Hawkinsville. Amos was retired from Continental Can Company and was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. Post 6077 and honorary member of the Georgia Sheriffs Association. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Amos was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Darsey; parents, Henry and Mollie Darsey; sister, Peggy Blackstone and brother, Larry Darsey.
Survivors include his sons, Ronnie (Holly) Darsey of Bonaire, Georgia and Tim (Malissa) Darsey of Hawkinsville, Georgia; sisters, Ann (John) Schwartz of Hawkinsville, Ga., Alice Johnson of Elko, Ga., Essie Lee Wilson of Perry, Ga., Christine (Steve) Albritton of Bonaire, Ga. and Maxine (Jr) Belflowers of Cochran, Ga.; brother, Malan (Annie Mae) Darsey of Hawkinsville, Ga.; grandchildren, Amos David Darsey of Unadilla, Ga. and Genie (Leroy) Williams of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Hunter Williams and Makenna Williams both of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a large family of friends.
