Barbara Lockhart Price passed away suddenly on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Georgia.Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, Georgia.Reverend Michael Greer will officiate a prayer service with immediate family members prior to visitation.Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama.Barbara's oldest grandchild, Tripp McRight, will speak on behalf of family members.Reverend T. B. Stringfellow will officiate the graveside service.Honorary pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and her grandsons.

Barbara was born on November 22, 1942, in Haleyville, Alabama, to the late Fannie and John Lockhart.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four of her siblings:Billy Lockhart, Geraldine Lockhart Thomas, Jimmy Lockhart and Doris Lockhart Taylor.

She was a banker by profession and employed by Sun Mark Bank in Hawkinsville at the time of her death.She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. :Barbara was an excellent example of love, commitment and devotion.Her husband suffered a severe stroke in 1986 and Barbara spent the next 30 years of her life caring for him.She adored her children and grandchildren.She had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around.She was admired and respected by her co-workers.Her motto was "life is what you make it." Her presence filled the room.She brought joy and laughter to those around her.She had a generous heart and a servant's spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Ben, of Hawkinsville, GA; daughter, Cindy McRight and husband, Jesse, of Starkville, MS; daughter, Hope Trosclair and husband, Finley, of Sharpsburg, GA; son, David Price of Warner-Robbins, GA; grandsons Tripp McRight of Oxford, MS; Will Trosclair of Atlanta, GA; Drew Trosclair of Lexington, KY and Gage Price of Warner-Robbins, GA; and granddaughter Rachel Trosclair of Sharpsburg, GA.She is also survived by her sister, Libby Lockhart, of Birmingham, AL and her brother, Buddy Lockhart, of Birmingham, AL.
