Ben Adrain Cooley

Ben Adrain Cooley, age 92, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on February 2, 2023 at Houston Health Care in Perry, Ga.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home on Monday Feb. 6, 2023. Military grave side services for Ben will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia with Rev. Jack Varnell officiating.

Ben was a native of Otsego, Michigan and loved woodworking and gardening. He was retired from the United States Navy and the Pulaski County Fire Department.   He was a member of the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church.  Ben was also a member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve and formerly the Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dacy Hale Cooley; son, Billy Cooley; sister, Shirley Scott; brother Bruce Cooley and his first wife Idelle Hastings Cooley.

Those left to forever cherish his memory include his wife, Sandra Cooley of Hawkinsville; daughter, Rebecca Bowen of Cochran, Ga.; grandson Kyle Bowen (Tammi); great granddaughter, Layla Bowen and a host of nieces and nephews.
