Ben Wilson Price

Mr. Price was the district manager of the Social Security Administration in Natchez until a massive stroke forced him into retirement at the age of 50. Mr. Price was born in Canton, MS on June 9, 1935 to the late Colonel Orlie Price and Julia McCaffrey. He studied and played on the golf team at Mississippi State University, but ultimately obtained his degree from the University of Georgia. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. Before his stroke, Mr. Price enjoyed golf, fishing, and hanging out with his buddies at the Elks Club. He was also a member of the Rotary Club.
Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lt. Col. Jerry Price, and his faithful wife Barbara Ann Price. He is also survived by 3 children, Cindy McRight (Jesse) of Starkville, MS, Hope Trosclair (Finley) of Sharpsburg, GA, and David Price of Hawkinsville, GA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Tripp McRight, Will Trosclair, Drew Trosclair, Rachel Trosclair, and Gage Price.
The family would like to thank his sister in law, Olief Price, and his neighbors, Ira and Joette Warnock for their unwavering support after Barbara's death but also these last 7 months. They are faithful friends and are appreciated from the bottom of our hearts.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers or memorials, in honor of Daddy, please take a long walk and have meaningful conversation with someone you love.
