Bernard "Bernie" Lamar Davis

Mr. Bernard Lamar Davis, age 92, of Bonaire, Georgia died on December 7, 2024 in Warner Robins, Georgia. Graveside services will be held at Harrell Cemetery, 45 Harrell Cemetery Road, Hawkinsville, GA 31036 on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 3p.m. with Rev. Joe Daniel and Mrs. Andrea Winters officiating.

Bernie was born on March 18, 1932 to the late Theo and Fannie Clements Davis. He graduated in 1950 from Sandersville High School where he was an all-star football player. He spent four years in the United States Navy before beginning his career at Robins Air Force Base where he retired as an equipment specialist in electronics. He was a member of the Christian faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Vaughn Davis and sister, Delores Hickson. Bernie loved to spend any extra time fishing, working in the yard, and tinkering in his shop. He adored his family and making others laugh.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Sharon Davis, Melanie Morgan and Melanie Amos; sons, Tony (Tina) Hendrix and Randy (Carol) Amos; grandchildren, Tonya (Jeff) Hair, Jennifer Hall and Sean (Lizzie) Amos and four great grandchildren, Jackson Hair, Tess Amos, Henley Hall and Lane Amos.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Heartland Hospice in memory of Bernard Davis, 5400 Riverside Dr., Suite 200, Macon, Georgia 31210.
