Bertha Mae Mathis

Bertha Mae Mathis, 77, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in the Pinewood Manor Nursing Home.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2025 in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens with Mr. Bruce Cato officiating.

Bertha was a native of Dodge County, Georgia and a member of the Baptist faith.  She was retired, but previously worked at the Goodys Plant and also in the Pulaski County Elementary School lunchroom.  She loved music, sewing, playing cards and spending time with her family. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Alvin and Roberta Woodard Mathis; sisters and brothers; Sarah Shelton, Laverne Hermann, Geneva Mathis, Alvin Mathis, Jr. and William T. Mathis.

Survivors include her sisters, Dorothy Davis (Sonny), Betty Rouse (Jimmy), Judy Mathis and several nieces and nephews.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
