Betty Louise Oakes Grinstead

Betty Louise Oakes Grinstead, 93, of Hawkinsville, GA, passed away peacefully at Summerhill Nursing Home on January 29. Her daughter and other family were present as she made her journey home. Funeral services will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Blake Westbrook officiating.  A visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Louise was a native of Ben Hill County and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church. She was retired from the Pulaski County Tax Commissioners Office after 30 years.  Preceding her in death were parents, William and Emma Wood Oakes, her 9 siblings; husband, Frank Grinstead and son Franky Grinstead.
Grieving her loss are her daughter, Susan Grinstead Paulson; Grandchildren: Christy (Terry) Grigsby, Kelly Graham (Jonny), Melanie Alexander (Brad) and Christopher Grinstead;
Great grandchildren: Connor, Caleb & Cooper Grigsby, Kyle Dunaway & Emma Graham, Luke, Evan & Davis Alexander, Landon, Colin, Logan & Carson Grinstead; Also her daughter in-law, Debbie Grinstead, special nephews and nieces: Billy & Connie Grinstead, Tommy & Derrie Grinstead and several other nieces and nephews.
