Betty Marlowe Powers

Mrs. Betty Marlowe Powers, age 87, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at Pinewood Villa in Hawkinsville.   A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Cordele, Ga. with Rev. Baxter Hurley officiating.

Mrs. Powers was a native of Hawkinsville, Georgia and a member of Forrest Hill Church in Macon, Ga.  She was retired from working in the State of Georgia Mental Retardation Section. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde E. and Mable Marlowe; husband Jack Powers; son, Jeff Powers; sister, Jane Grinstead.  Cheryl took care of Betty for four years just like she was her mama.

Survivors include 3 nieces, Cheryl (Ronnie) Turk, Lisa Fowler, Tink (Richard) Bond; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and dear friends, Zibell Roberts and Donald Jenkins.
