Mrs. Betty Louise Hock Salter, 94, of Hawkinsville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at her residence.A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Christian Family Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Ga. with Rev. Paul Hock officiating.
Mrs. Salter was a native of Dayton, Ohio and a member of Double Branch Freewill Baptist Church.She was a homemaker.Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John Bryan and Minnie Mae Williamson Hock; her husband of 50 years, Thomas Salter; daughter, Barbara Pickens of Ohio; brothers George Hock of Ohio and Donald Hock of Hawkinsville; sisters, Lori McAfee of Texas and Luella Hall of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Ashley Brooke Wilson and Robert Fremont Jr.; great grandchildren Gabrielle Hodge, Isabelle Guy and Bronx Kilgore.
Survivors include Sharon Moses, Jason (Erika) Fremont, Brenda (Charles) Humphries, Betty (Larry) Taylor, Bobby (Libby) Fremont, Toni (George) Grimsley, Jerry Mitchell, Terrie (Russell) Ransom, Lori (Mark) Wilson, Thomas (Karina) Salter, Martin (Tammie) Salter;38 grandchildren and 69 great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews, numerous great-great grandchildren; brother Paul (Johnnie) Hock; and sister Melvina Vaught of Ohio at 98 years old.
