Billy G. Wilson, Sr. passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 after complications from an extended illness.

The family will greet friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. June 12, 2009 in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel.Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Micah Emory, Robert Owings and Jerry Lancaster officiating.

Born in Putnam County to the late Jessie Wilson and Dorothy Drake, Mr. Wilson was retired from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department and served in the Merchant Marines.

He is preceded in death by 5 sisters and 4 brothers, 1 daughter, Martha Ann Wilson Smith and one son Danny M. McGee.

Survivors include his loving wife Anne McGee Wilson of Macon; 2 sisters Sarah Adams of Eatonton, Grace Simpson of Jacksonville, Fla.; 2 daughters, Montine (Tommy) Jernigan of Forsyth; Cindi M. Price of Byron; 2 sons, Billy Wilson, Jr. of Hawkinsville, Steve (Jeanette) Wilson ofJacksonville, Ala.; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville is in charge of arrangements
