A morally questionable role model, but a role model all the same.

He was given the worst hand to play in life, but he somehow managed to pull himself up by the literal boot straps, and make a perfect life for himself. He achieved just about everything he wanted in his life, finding a gal that completed him, starting a family, building a home, and leaving behind one hell of a legacy.

He was always somebody you could rely on, and if he had his eyes set on something, he was ready to die for it. He often told my mother how much family meant to him, and how much he wanted a large family.

While we may not all be biologically the same family, every single person who has ever met my father, looked up to him as their family in some way.

Daddy, if only you knew, just how big of a family you truly had, and still have. None of us, will ever let your memory be forgotten, and all of us, will continue you legacy of wanting to make the world a better place.

You made our worlds a million times brighter while you were here, and while it may be darker now that you’re not, we will never forget just how brightly your love shined in the darkness.
