Mr. Charles Boyd Douglas, age 86, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away at his residence on November 14, 2022. Memorial services for Mr. Douglas will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 in the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home at 2p.m. with Dr. Don McClung officiating. The family will greet friends from 1p.m. to 2p.m. prior to the service at Clark Funeral Home. Charles was born on June 25, 1936 in Sylacauga, Alabama to the late Boyd Dewar Douglas and Sarah Williams Douglas. He was a graduate of Georgia College & State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. Mr. Douglas was veteran having served in the United States Air Force and the National Guard. He was a retired civil service employee having worked in procurement at Robins Air Force Base. Charles was a member and former deacon of the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church. He taught the Sunday school class at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home for many years. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Charlene Douglas; sister, Sarah Faye Douglas and his son in law, Gary Black Those left to forever cherish his memory include his daughters, Belinda (Gerald) Allums of Hawkinsville, Georgia and Rhonda Black of Hawkinsville, Georgia; brother, Michael Addison Douglas of Jesup, Georgia and his five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
