Charles Haley Martin, 84, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry, Ga.Funeral services will be private.

Mr. Martin grew up in South Carolina and served in the navy during WWII.After returning home he attended Clemson University and graduated as a mechanical engineer.Charles married Juanita Johnson in 1952 and adopted Hawkinsville as their home in 1955.

Mr. Martin is survived by one daughter, Rose Marie Martin.

Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
