Mr. Clarence "Fin" Finleyson Jr, age 90, of Carrollton GA, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Mr. Finleyson was born March 26, 1934, in Pineview, GA. The son of the late Clarence and Bernice Finleyson. Mr. Finleyson graduated from Emory University with a BBA After serving in the military in Korea and Japan, he returned to Emory and received a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Economics. Most of his life was spent in banking. He, with a group of local people, chartered Carroll National Bank. He was President and CEO. He was active in many civic organizations, President of the Chamber of Commerce and a Member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his son Clarence Russell Finleyson (Tracey) of Raleigh NC. Grandchildren Clarence Taylor Finleyson (Emily) and Zachary Russell Finleyson. Step grandchildren, Zack Gergis and Zoie Gergis. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Helen Smith Finleyson. Due to his wishes, his body was cremated and there will be no services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
