Cleatus Anderson Borders, 86, of Hawkinsville, GA died Friday, January 6, 2012.She was born in Kisatchie, LA on May 6, 1925.Her parents were Rowena Dowden Anderson and Henry Ellis Anderson.She was predeceased by her husband of 50 plus years, Jacob Leon Borders. She is survived by her daughter Diane Lambert of Shreveport, LA; brothers Wilmer Anderson of Buffalo, NY; Millard Anderson of Stockton, CA and sisters Maudene Scott, Americus, GA; Faye Wilkerson, Valley, AL; and Johnnie Parks, Montgomery, AL.Her sister, Ina Holland, predeceased her.In addition, Janice H. Newton, niece and caregiver and fifteen nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. We would like to thank Southern Pine Retirement Villa and Willie Mae Fedd, her sitter, for all their love and support for Aunt Cleatus.
Cleatus lived in Fairfax, AL for most of her life and has family and many friends in the area.She was a longtime member of Fairfax United Methodist Church.Her strong Christian faith was a fine example for her family and friends.She was a devoted and compassionate wife, mother, aunt, and sister, and will be missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at the Fairfax United Methodist Church on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:00 am. The Reverend Michael L. Densmore and the Reverend Kelsey Grissom Johnson will preside.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairfax United Methodist Church, 901 Boulevard, Valley, AL 36854.
