Mr. David Myer Rhodes, age 81, of Pineview, Georgia passed away during the early morning hours of April 21, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Rhodes will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pineview, Georgia with Rev. Hicks Brown and Rev. Kelsie Brady officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service in the social hall of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
David was born in Wilcox County on May 20, 1934 to the late John Henry Rhodes and Della Mae Pope Rhodes. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pineview, Georgia and retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation where he was employed as a surveyor.
Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Rhodes of Pineview, Georgia; sons, Jimmy David (Pat) Rhodes of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Joey (Nikki) Rhodes of Pineview, Georgia and Jeff (Renee) Rhodes of Kathleen, Georgia; daughter, Janet (Marcus) Brown of Pineview, Georgia; sisters, Martha Bloodworth of Tifton, Georgia and Johnnie Mae Helms of Hawkinsville, Georgia. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
