Donnie Lee Googe, age 67, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on October 13, 2014 at his residence. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 3p.m. at The Cross Community Church, 220 McCormick Avenue, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036 with Rev. Steve McKuhen officiating. Visitation will be held before the service from 1:30p.m. to 2:30p.m. at The Cross Community Church.
Mr. Googe was a native of Alma, Georgia and a member of the Baptist Faith. He was a retired truck driver and carpenter. Donnie was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his sons, Donald Lee (Angela) Googe of Cochran, Georgia and Aaron William Googe of Hawkinsville, Georgia; daughters, Katie Googe of Hawkinsville, Georgia; Brandy Googe Lord of Hawkinsville, Georgia and Renee Thompson of Hawkinsville, Georgia. He is also survived by one sister, Brenda Posey of Greston, Georgia; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
