Doris Thompson Bivins, age 72 of Hawkinsville, Georgia died on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Lee and Rev. Billy Cox officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Clark Funeral Home. Interment will be at Harmony Smyrna Cemetery in Dooly County.
Doris was born on September 20, 1944 to Perry and Hattie Mae Thompson. She was retired from the sewing plant in Unadilla, Georgia and was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Dykes and her parents. Mrs. Bivins was a member of New Visions Ministries IPHC (Babb IPHC) in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Left to forever treasure her memory are her daughters Gloria Lewis of Cordele,Ga., Debra Jean (Gary) Rouse of Cordele,Ga., and Penny L. (Mike) Huett of Hawkinsville,Ga. and Charlotte Dykes of Hawkinsville,Ga.sons, Robert (Karen) Dykes of Hawkinsville, Georgia, John (Cathy) Dykes of Eastman, Georgia and Keith Dykes of Roswell, Georgia. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
