Mrs. Doris Ann Desprez Page, 86, of Douglas, Georgia passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia. Graveside services will be held at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens in Bleckley County, Georgia at 2p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 with Rev. Lonnie Perdue officiating. Visitation will be held from 10a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Mrs. Page was born on June 10, 1925 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Marcell and Madeline Desprez. Doris resided in Menin, Belgium from 1929 to 1958 then returned to Lawrence, Massachusetts from 1958 to 1968. In 1968 she settled in Newburyport, Massachusetts and resided there until 1981. Mrs. Page was an accomplished seamstress and business owner having owned the Seascape Motel on Hampton Beach, New Hampshire from 1981 to 1993. Doris loved line dancing and had a passion for jazz music. She is predeceased by her parents and husband, Harold W. Page.
Mrs. Page is survived by her sons, Steve G. Valcke (Cynthia) of Hawkinsville, Georgia and step-son, John Page (Danice) of Venice, California. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great- great- grandchildren.
Clark Funeral Home, 142 Commerce Street, Hawkinsville, Ga. has charge of arrangements.
