E. Malan Darsey

Mr. E. Malan Darsey, 85, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home in Hawkinsville.A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Cox and Bishop Tim Lamb officiating.Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery.
Mr. Darsey was a native of Dodge County, Georgia and a member of Babb Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.He retired from Leshner Mills as Plant Engineer.He was a member of the VFW, Opera House and the Kiwanis Club.Malan was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mollie Oxley Darsey; brothers, Amos Darsey, Larry Darsey and sister, Peggy Blackstone.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Mae Darsey of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Tommy Malan Darsey of Lake Blackshear, Ga.; daughter, Carol Darsey Cowan (Arnold) of Montezuma, Ga.; sister, Alice Johnson of Elko, Ga., Essie Lee Wilson of Perry, Ga., Ann Schwartz (John) of Hawkinsville, Ga., Christine Albritton (Steve) of Bonaire, Ga., Maxine Belflower of Cochran, Ga.; grandchildren, Lucas Cowan, Matthew Cowan and Annie Cowan.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to New Vision Ministries: Unadilla Highway, Hawkinsville, Ga.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
