Edgar Mark Buffington, 57 of Hawkinsville, Ga. died July 15, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Justin Stewart officiating. Burial will be at 2p.m. in Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Ga.
Mr. Buffington was a native of Greenville, South Carolina. He was of the Christian faith. He was an Air Force Veteran and was a retired Civil Service employee of Robins Air Force Base.
Survivors include his mother, Jessie Barbara Buffington of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Jesse Brooks Buffington of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughters Risa Anne Johnston of Vienna, Ga. and Shelley Mitchell of Warner Robins, Ga.; sister, Ann Barnes of Tennessee and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Prebble Larisa Buffington.
Visitation will be held from 6p.m. to 8p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home.
