Edwin Earl McDaniel, Sr., 78, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Freddie Rhodes and Rev. Barry Teutsch officiating.Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McDaniel was a native of Dodge County, Ga. and a member of Westview Baptist Church.He was retired from civil service after 41 years with Robins Air Force Base.Edwin was an Army and Navy Reserve Veteran.He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Grace McDaniel and a sister, Mary Holder.
Survivors include his wife, Betty McDaniel of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sons, Edwin E. McDaniel, Jr. (Cathy), Glynn McDaniel (Sandra), all of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughter, Gail McDaniel Boehm (Chuck) of Perry, Ga.; sisters, Dorothy Howell of Eastman, Ga. and Sandy Howell (Sherman) also of Eastman, Ga.; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany McDaniel, Jonathan McDaniel, Amanda Reed and William Boehm; 1 great-granddaughter, Kay Lee Reed.
Flowers will be accepted, but donations may be made to Westview Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
