Eleanor Agnes Walker

February 20, 1923 — September 9, 2012

Eleanor Agnes Young Walker, formally of Crowell Community in Reynolds, Taylor County, Georgia, passed into eternity on September 9, 2012.Her parents were the late Jennie Gray Montgomery and George Zachariah Young of Crowell.She is survived by children, Sharon Kaye Walker Reeves and husband, Wayne of Bogart, Ga. and George Michael Walker and wife Elizabeth of Mableton, Ga.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Other surviving family members are brother James Young and wife Virginia of Reynolds, Ga. and brother, Charles Young and wife Angela of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sisters, Jennie Alice Young Horton Davis of Paducah, KY and Susan Young Foley and husband, Carl of Worcester, MA as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Eleanor grew up in Crowell and upon her retirement from Lockheed Martin Corporation in Orlando, Florida, she returned to her childhood community and the Crowell United Methodist Church.For the past several years she has been a resident of Great Oaks Retirement Home in Monroe, Ga.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m at Crowell United Methodist Church in Reynolds, Georgia.Visitation and viewing will be from 1:00-1:45 prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Crowell United Methodist Church Building Fund, C/O Rashel Day, 911 Montfort Road, Butler, Ga. 31006.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
