Ellis R. Scarborough, Sr., 69, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died August 13, 2009 at his residence.Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2009 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. William Talley, Rev. James E. Moore and Rev. Joe Maynard officiating.Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Scarborough was a native of Houston County, Ga. and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He wasretired Superintendent of roads and bridges for Houston County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scarborough and daughter, Cathy Lee Free.

Survivors include his wife, Tyine Passmore Scarborough of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughters, Susan (Randy) Hughes ofFitzgerald, Ga., Teresa (Ronnie) Vivas of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Ellis Riley (Christy) Scarborough of Perry, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Thomas Hughes, Rebecca Vivas, Justin Vivas, Kaley Vivas, Bailey Scarborough, Cole Scarborough, Callie Scarborough and Ashley Miller; sister, Ella Mae (David) Self of Warner Robins, Ga.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Houston County Public Works Department.

Pallbearers will be Josh Burleson, Tim Cranford, Kim Cranford, Travis McLendon, Ed McLendon, Brian Owens, James Roberts and James Thomas Passmore.

Visitation will be Saturday evening, August 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
