Emily Barker Strickland

Ms. Strickland was born on December 6, 1937 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to Mr. Isadore Strauss Barker and Mrs. Warna Perdue Barker. Prior to her passing, Ms. Strickland worked in Blue Print Control at Lockheed in Marietta. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isadore (Warna Perdue) Barker; brother, Mr. Alvis Barker; brother, Mr. Dan Barker.
She is survived by daughter, Ms. Janet Strickland; daughter, Ms. Julie Strickland; grandson, Mr. William Tibbitts, brother, Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Marilyn) Barker; sister in law, Mrs. Dan Barker; nieces and nephews. and many friends.
Graveside services for Ms. Strickland will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017, 4:00 P.M. at Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Pastor Glenn Rountree will officiate. Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, Ga. will handle the graveside services.
Pallbearers will be Dan Barker, Gary Barker, Jimmy Wright, Devin Skelton, Josh Ayer and Jeff Ayer.
Visitation for Ms. Strickland will be held Monday, November 6, 2017, 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home in Dallas, Georgia.
Clark Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations to Calvary Childrens Home; 1430 Lost Mountain Road, Powder Springs, Ga. 30127.
