Mrs. Ernestene Burkette, age 83, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home. Services for Mrs. Burkette will be held at 2p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. David Fisher officiating.
Mrs. Burkette was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia on July 4, 1934 to the late Erest and Laura Scarborough.She was a retired healthcare provider and a member of the Hayneville Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Emory Nathaniel Burkett.
Those left to forever cherish her memory include her son, Michael Davis of Powell, Tennessee; daughter, Peggy Mixter of Hawkinsville, Georgia; sisters, Ida Pauline Woodard of Hawkinsville, Georgia and Amanda O. Bryant Collins of Hawkinsville, Georgia. She is also survived by three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
