Eugene Matthew Busbee, 82, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 in the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Pritchett, Rev. Joe Maynard and Rev. William Talley officiating.Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Busbee was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of the Baptist faith.He attended Riverside Baptist Church.He was a retired farmer and textile worker.Gene ran Hardy Farms Peanut stand and raised livestock for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Busbee of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Ron (Paige) Busbeeof Elko, Ga.; daughter, Jeannie (Kenneth) Hardy of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sister, Catherine Giddens of Cochran, Ga.; six grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted, but the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
