Eugene Mincey
November 14, 1941 — April 29, 2016
Mr. Mincey was born in Baxley, Georgia on November 14, 1941 to the late Dock and Alma Mincey. He had lived most of his adult life in Hawkinsville, Georgia and was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church where he also attended the Auditorium Sunday School Class. He was self-employed as a small engine mechanic. Gene enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and staying actively involved in church. Mr. Mincey was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Mincey and sister, Bobbie Currie.
He is survived by his daughters, Darlene (Dale) Gilbert of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Stephanie (Chad) Smith of Eastman, Georgia and Dawn (Jeffery) Beck of Statesboro, Georgia; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Michael) King, T.J. Gilbert, Ty Smith, Jenna Beck, Peyton Smith and Lauren Beck; brother, Edward (Janet) Mincey of Eastman, Georgia and Carroll (Linda) Mincey of Montgomery, Alabama; sisters, Shirley Hester of Leesburg, Georgia, Wanda (Gene) Rogers of Callahan, Florida and Fay (Tommy) Herrington of Hawkinsville, Georgia.He is also survived by his great grandchild, Mackenzie Gilbert and several nieces and nephews.
