Mrs. Evelyn Marie Yozviak Parkerson, 63, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. Gary Abbott officiating.Interment will be private.
Mrs. Parkerson was a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.She was self-employed having owned an in-home daycare center where she was called "granny."Evelyn also worked with Jackson-Hewett Tax Service for 5 years.She loved to read anddoted on her grandchildren.Mrs. Parkerson was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the American Cancer Society.Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen Yozviak and brother, John Yozviak, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, J. S. Parkerson of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Jimmy Parkerson,fianc (Candy) of Hawkinsville, Ga. and a daughter, Angela (Bruce) Mimbs also of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brothers; Michael Yozviak of Warner Robins, Ga. and Steve Yozviak of Maryland; sister, Mary Ellen Taylor of Warner Robins, Ga.; grandchildren, Steele Mimbs, fianc (Krystal), Jacob Mimbs, Emily Mimbs and Beth Williams.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, July 6, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
The family requests that contributions be made to the St. Luke's Episcopal Church Capital Campaign Fund.
