Mr. Frank Jason Fremont, Jr., age 76, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died on September 3, 2024 surrounded by his family. Celebration of life services will be held on October 12, 2024 at 3p.m. at 211 Dupree Road, Hawkinsville, GA 31036 with military honors.
Jason was born on May 27, 1948 in Galveston, Texas to the late Frank Jason Fremont, Sr. and Betty Hock Fremont. After high school Jason enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country for six years. He completed a deployment during the Vietnam War while stationed on the USS Sacramento (AOE-1). Mr. Fremont enjoyed a long career in law enforcement having served on the Eastman Police Department, Cordele Police Department and as Chief Deputy of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office until his retirement. He had many interests but enjoyed listening to Atlanta Braves broadcasts on the radio while riding in his truck, woodworking and spending time with his family. Jason also enjoyed playing cards, fishing and discussing the history of Hawkinsville and Pulaski County.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Erika Fremont; son, Frank Jason (Heidi) Fremont, III; daughter, Tammy (Matt) Turner; grandchildren, Jaime (Brent) Davis, Justin (Natalie) Hilliard, Victoria Briscoe, Nancy Knight and Emily Brisco; brothers, Robert Fremont, Sr., Thomas Salter, Martin Salter and Jerry Wayne Mitchell; sisters, Sharon Moses, Brenda Humphries, Toni Grimsley, Betty Taylor, Terri Ransom and Lori Wilson; several nieces, nephews and eight great grandchildren.
