Freddie Allen Rhodes passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones.
Freddie was a devoted husband to Jeannette Rhodes for 60 years. He is survived by his daughters Fawn Raley (Joe), Fran Harrell, and Faith Adams (Brian). He greatly cherished his grandsons Wesley, Bradley, Timothy, Brian, Micah, Seth, Levi, Luke, Eli, and his only granddaughter Sophia. He is survived by his beloved sister Opal Wilcox, many nieces and nephews, and 7 great-grandchildren.
One of the crowning achievements of his life was as pastor of Westview Baptist Church for 24 years. Prior to that he worked as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base and as a U.S. Navy veteran. Freddie Rhodes was loved and admired by many. Acting as a mentor, father figure, and confidant, he touched the lives of so many members in his community. May we all strive to have the love, kindness, compassion, and endless faith for the Lord that Freddie Rhodes showed on a daily basis. Freddie loved the camaraderie gained through the fellowship found with family, friends, and even strangers. He loved people.
Freddie Rhodes will be missed greatly. Our loss is heaven’s gain. May he rest in peace with his wife Jeannette.
