Gary Wayne Hughes, 48, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died January 5, 2010 in Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Pritchett officiating.A visitation will be held following the service.Burial will be private.

Gary was a native of Winkler Co. Texas and a member of the Baptist faith.He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was a machinist with Lithonia Lighting Co.He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Hughes; maternal grandfather, Olin Hickman and paternal grandparents, Fred and Bonnie Hughes.

Survivors include his mother, Clara Kutches of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brothers, Fred Hughes (Lou Ann) of Houston, TX and Terry Hughes (Rachel) of Beaumont, TX; maternal grandmother, Bea Hickman of Hawkinsville, Ga. and aunt, Grace Dixon (Frank) of Hawkinsville, Ga.

Pallbearers will be Fred Hughes, Terry Hughes, Mike Carr, Alfred Carr, Dustin Folds and Kyle Hughes.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
