Gary Wayne Witherington
July 20, 1948 — December 31, 2020
Mr. Witherington was born in Wilcox County and was a member of the Christian faith.He was a self-employed registered land surveyor. Gary was a member of the Survey and Mapping Society of Georgia and was President from 1991 to 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Mary Ellen Reynolds Witherington.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Witherington of Hampton, Ga.; sons, Jeremy Witherington (Kelsey) and Jonathan Murray (Dusty); daughter, Jennifer Odell (Matt); brothers, James (Jimmy) Warren Witherington, Jr. (Martha) and John Monroe Witherington, Sr. (JoAnn); sister, Jan Moore (Larry); grandson, Cruize Murray and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.
