Gladys Thompson, 94, of Gainesville, Ga. and formerly of Hawkinsville, Ga. died August 13, 2009 in Gainesville, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009 at the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Walker officiating.Burial will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was a native of Pineview, Ga. anda member of the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church.She was a retired school teacher having taught in the Pulaski County School System for 42 years.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roger Thompson.She was a quiet disciple.

Survivors include her daughter, Sallie Ann Thompson (Michael) Owings of Gainesville, Ga.; grandchildren, Eric Morgan Owings of Buckhead, Ga., John Casey Owings of Gainesville, Ga. and Whitney Miranda Catherine Owings of Dahlonega, Ga.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Clark Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ramsey Way, Hatcher Way, Bob Way, John Way, Joe Meadows, Gary Dent, Phil NeSmith, Lewis Fowler and Tim Wynne.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Hawkinsville or the Hospice of your choice.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
