Mr. Gordie McGinnis, 91, of Hawkinsville, Ga. passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 in Hawkinsville, Ga.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 in the Seville Cemetery in Pitts, Ga. with Rev. David Fisher officiating.
Mr. McGinnis was a native of Lawrenceville, Ga. and a member of the Seville Baptist Church.He was a retired machinist having worked at Harris Press in Cordele, Ga.He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Mr. McGinnis was survived by his wife, Mildred McGinnis of Hawkinsville, Georgia; son, Ronnie McGinnis (Lanae) of Perry, Ga.; daughters, Marcia Morris (Reggie) of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Brenda Raley (Mike) of Ponte Vedra, Florida; brother, Charlie McGinnis (Margaret) of Caravelle, Florida; sister in law, Joan McGinnis of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather Chandler (John), Jennifer Yansom (Rusty), Brandy Raley, Jeremy Forehand and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 417 Unadilla Highway, Lot 55, Hawkinsville, Ga.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
