Gordon Alvis Young, Jr.

Gordon Alvis Young, Jr., age 64, passed away at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Ga. on Feb. 26, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Young was a native of Lawton, Oklahoma and a member of the Christian Faith. He was disabled. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Alvis Young, Sr. and also his stepfather, Lee Burrell, whom raised him. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Marie Young; mother, Emma Brewer Burrell of Athens, Ga.; daughter, Amber Frances Young of Winterville, Ga.; sisters, Laura McRorie (Trey) of Watkinsville, Ga. and Lisa Redmon (Don) of Commerce, Ga.
