Grady Lynn Alexander

Mr. Grady Lynn Alexander, 64, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his residence.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2024 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Pastor James Alexander and Mr. Jonathan “Tiny” Rogers officiating.  A visitation will be after the service at 448 Cochran Highway.

Lynn was born in Orlando, Florida in 1960 and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.  He was a heavy equipment operator for the Houston County Landfill.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Vera Alexander; brother, Ronnie “Fatback” Alexander; nephew, Robert Chuck Myers and grandson, Levi Gamboni.

Lynn loved his family and his grandkids with all his heart.  He loved going fishing and hunting with anyone and everyone.  He was always ready to go riding down the dirt roads or load up the kids and go to Smiley’s flea market and walk around.  We spent many hours, days and years on the river catching fish or swimming with everyone.  He was always there whenever anyone was in need, whether that be someone needing a tow or and engine rebuilt.  He had enough junk in the backyard to fix almost anything and loved working on anything.  Lynn was a very hard worker and could weld and make something out of nothing.  He also loved working in the yard and hated being couped up in the house.  He always gave good advice and tried to teach the kids and grandkids how to work on stuff too.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Ann Torta Alexander, sons, Grady Lynn "Bubba" Alexander, Jr. and Raymond (Kristy) Gamboni; daughters, Niecy Alexander (James Hogg) and Rayonna Gamboni; brothers, Don Alexander, James Alexander, Albert Alexander; sister, Brenda Myers; grandchildren, Aislinn Dykes, Alyssa Jo Alexander, Kayla Lyn Alexander, Laila Hogg, Clay Hogg and Matteo Gamboni.
