Guy Avery Plowden, III; a resident of Port Charlotte, Florida and a native of Hawkinsville, GA made his journey to Heaven's Gate at the age of 58. His Lord and Savior welcomed him with open arms October 28th while Avery was surrounded with Love from his family during his final moments at Medical University of South Carolina; Charleston.
Avery was born in Hawkinsville, GA on January 6, 1957 at Taylor Hospital. He was a Baptist and a member of the Limestone Baptist Church. Avery graduated from Hawkinsville High School with the Class of 1975. He attended Middle Georgia College as well as the University of Georgia where he majored in Agronomy. Avery also enjoyed a career for decades in the medical field as a Histotechnologist.
He is survived by his Mother and step-Father, Bobby Louis and Betty Hadden Bobo; Sisters, C.J. Bobo and Betsy Bobo Poleschuk; Nephew, Michael Louis Poleschuk; all of Hawkinsville, GA. Sister, Katherine Plowden Burgess of Lexington, South Carolina. Brother, Rev. Calvin Hadden Bobo (Janet); Nephew, Adam of Andrews, North Carolina. Avery also had many Aunts, Uncles and beloved cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, the late Guy Avery Plowden, Jr. of Hawkinsville, GA and his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Guy Avery Plowden, Sr. of Columbia, South Carolina and Mr. John Calvin Hadden, Sr. and Mrs. Sarah Ellen Daniel Hadden of Hawkinsville, GA.
The family will greet friends for visitation at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, GA on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 1:00p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00p.m. also at Clark Funeral Home. Attire will be casual. In keeping with Avery's spirit of giving; please donate to your favorite charity in his memory. Interment will be private.
