Hap Jones

Jesse "Hap" Jones, 86, of Hawkinsville passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Summerhill Senior Community in Perry, Georgia.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Hawkinsville First Baptist Church with Dr. Don McClung officiating. Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville.
A native of Bleckley County, Mr. Jones was a longtime member of Hawkinsville First Baptist Church and was a retired carpenter.He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan K. Jones; parents, Walter and Lou Pearl Jones and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Wynne Jones of Hawkinsville, Ga., son, Keith (Kathy) Jones of Cochran, Ga., daughter, Lisa (Danny) Grimsley of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brother, Robert (Tress) Jones of Cochran, grandchildren,JonHolland Jones, Susan Jones (Chris) Cravey, Taylor Grimsley and Zachary Grimsley.
Pallbearers will be Red Long, John Wynne, Dale Jones, Cote Jones, Jeff Caldwell, Lamar Richardson, Blake Smith and Brooks Bailey.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
