Helen Giles Conner, Age 84, of Finleyson, Ga. died Thursday, November 20, 2008 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia.Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Finleyson with Dr. Don McClung and Rev. Blake Westbrook officiating.Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Mrs. Conner was a native of Meridian, Miss., a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, a retired civil service employee from Warner Robins Air Force Base and was a retired licensed practical nurse.She was an avid Gardener.Tiger and Pookie were her beloved cats and loyal companions.Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clinton Conner, Jr. and son, Bobby Conner.

Survivors include daughter, Jane Carr of Dacula, Ga.; sons, Jerry Conner and Bill Conner (Susan) both of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; sisters, June Johnson of Collingsville, Miss. and Louise McClinton (Jack) of Linden, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Mashburn, Gabe Folds, Randy Folds, Randy Wells, Wayne Bloodworth and Tommy Conner.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hawkinsville First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
