Helen Dykes Davis, 77, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Yelverton and Rev. Gary Andrews officiating.Burial will be in Sapp Cemetery in Pulaski County.
Mrs. Davis was a native of Pulaski County, Ga. and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.She was a graduate of the 1952 class of Hawkinsville High School.Helen was a housewife and a member of NARFE.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe David Davis.
Survivors include sons, David (Mike) Davis (Sharon) of Bishop, Ga., Steve Davis (Robin) of Cochran, Ga.; daughters, Lavonda Shadix (Gene) of Eastman, Ga. and Wanda Johnson (Danny) of Hahira, Ga.; 8 grandchildren; Paula Lewis (Caine), Lisa Biles (Brent), Christopher Davis, Jonathan Davis, Joe Davis, Tiffany Davis, Matthew Shadix, Daniel Shadix; 3 great-grandchildren, Cailyn Lewis, D. J. Shadix and Deane Biles.
Pallbearers will be Paul Guest, Eric Davis, Drew Davis, Emory Davis, Robert Lancaster and Vern Simmons.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
