Henry "Buck" Jackson Bell, age 82, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on the evening of Friday, May 27, 2016 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Georgia.Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Broad Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Waters, Dr. Robert Woodall and Dr. Kelly Pritchett officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the funeral service at Broad Street Baptist Church from 9:30a.m. to 10:45a.m. Interment will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Bell was born in Pulaski County and was a member and former deacon of Broad Street Baptist Church in Hawkinsville. Buck retired in June of 1993 from the Army National Guard and was also a retired plant manager at ComSouth Communications. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Clark Bell and Ada Grimsley Bell.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bell of Hawkinsville, Georgia; daughters, Louise Phelps of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Pat (Jimmy David) Rhodes of Hawkinsville, Georgia and Judy (Barry) Peacock of Pineview, Georgia. He is also survived by his brother, James Clark Bell, Jr. of Lynn, Massachusetts, 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
