Howard Wayne Upton

Howard Wayne Upton, age 87, died Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Howard was born June 14, 1936 in Richardsville, Kentucky. His parents were Gordon and Beatrice Passon Upton.  He retired from Robins Air Force Base having worked for the Records Department in the F-15 section.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rebecca Brown Upton. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Edward, stepdaughter Kathryn Whalen (Mike), stepson Charles Lee Studstill, Jr. and grandson William Lay. Howard also had 7 step grandchildren, Dawne Easley (Mike), Jamie Lovett, Jimmy Lovett (Christy), Brandy Dowless (Curtis), Becky Jo Mickler (Jimmy), Heather Miller (Barry) and Brandy Whalen. Howard also had 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, GA, on Friday, June 14, from 6 — 8 pm.

Graveside burial at Brown Family Cemetery, Pulaski County, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 with Rev. Jay Moore and Rev. Jeff Cummings officiating.

A memorial service will follow at Limestone Baptist Church, June 15, 2024 after a meal provided for the family.
