Mrs. Iris Bell Tucker, age 76, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on February 7, 2018 at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Tucker will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Pulaski County with Rev. Don Hock officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:30 p.m.to 3:30 p.m. at Bluff Creek Cemetery prior to the graveside service.
Iris was born on June 22, 1941 to the late Robert and Mattie Lou Fountain in Fitzgerald, Georgia. She was previously employed in the dietary department at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home in Hawkinsville, Georgia. She was a Christian and member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Tucker enjoyed drinking Coca-Cola, watching The Andy Griffith Show and western films. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Thelma Brady and Mary Wright and her daughter, Pam Bryant.
Those left to forever cherish her memory include her son, Tony Hickman of Cordele, Georgia; brother, Henry James Fountain of Salisbury, Maryland; sister, Lorena Jones of Belle Glade, Florida; nieces, Linda Sanchez of Miami, Florida, Faye Jones, Brenda Sue Jones, Rose Jones all of Belle Glade, Florida and Connie Jordan of Hawkinsville, Georgia. She is also survived by several other nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews; grandchildren, Brooke Bryant of Valdosta, Georgia and Donald Bryant, Jr. formerly of Hawkinsville, Georgia. She is also survived by her special friend, "Mama" Lucille Jackson and her Pinewood Manor family.
