James Heath Bass

Mr. James Heath Bass, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Mays officiating.  Burial will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Bass was a native of Macon, Georgia and a member of the Baptist faith.  He was employed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.  He loved fishing, golfing, the Braves and Georgia football.  Heath was preceded in death by his grandparents; James M. Bass, Sr. and Betty Ruth Bass; John C. Boyd, Sr. and Ann Boyd; cousin Scott Noles.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Bass, father, James M. Bass, Jr. (Glenda); mother, Angela Boyd Bass; mother-in-law, Maria Pollock; son, Hudson Bass; stepson, Dagan Simmons; stepdaughters, Isabella Pollock and Jessie Simmons; stepbrother and stepsisters; sister, Heather Bass Nowell (Alan) Jasey Roberts; nephews, Jake Nowell, Caleb Nowell and niece, Kinsley Nowell.
