James "Jim" Blake, age 73 of Hawkinsville gained his wings on Friday, September 29, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.A memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Pineview, Georgia.
Jim was a United States Army Veteran and Retired long haul truck driver of 39 years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.In lieu of flowers please donate to Serenity Hospice Care, 1057 N. Houston Rd., Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.
Jim is survived by his wife, Yuratna "Rusty" Blake of 20 years, two daughters, Kimberly (Ron) Knight and Tammie (Kenny) Gernert both of Hawkinsville; two sons, James (Cyndi) Blake, Jr. of Lawrenceville, Pennsylvaniaand Wade (Tammy) Roberts of Fort Valley, Georgia. He is also survived by his fur babies Lucy and Coco; three sisters,Florence Luntz of Florida, Barbara Gill of New Jersey and Mary Brown of Texas; seven grandsons, 5 granddaughtersand 3 great grandchildren with 2 on the way.
