James Anthony Hodge, 64, of Cochran, Ga. diedFriday, March 15, 2013 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Freddie Rhodes and Rev. David Roland officiating. Burial will be in the Browndale cemetery.
Mr. Hodge was a native of Dodge County, Ga. and attended the Cochran Church of God.He was self-employed in the tree service business.He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hodge, Sr. and Annie Mae Hodge.His sister, Miriam Giddens,brother,Raford Floyd and granddaughter Gabby Hodge also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Hodge of Cochran, Ga.; sons, Jamie Hodge of Brunswick, Ga., Robbie (Windi) Hodge of Dublin, Ga., Dennis (Amanda) Hodge of Cochran, Ga.; daughters, Cindy Hodge (Alvin) Abney of Cochran, Ga., Angie Cook (Ashley) of Cochran, Ga.; brothers, Kenneth Hodge of Cochran, Ga., Ricky Hodge of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Rachel Winborn and Kathy Moore, both of Cochran, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Barlow, Roger English, Raymond English, Horace English, Warren Cross and Ronnie Bennett.
Pallbearers will be Will Thompson, Jeremy Hodge, Patrick Thompson, David Thompson, Ashley Cook and Alvin Abney.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville, Ga.
